FAIRY MUSIC
I found a little fairy flute I loved to see them all around
Beneath a harebell blue, And wished they'd always stay,
I sat me down upon the moss When down a little fairy flew
And blew a note or two. And snatched my flute away!
And as I blew the rabbits came And then the swallow fluttered off,
Around me in the sun, And gone were all the bees,
And little mice and velvet moles The rabbits ran, and I was left
Came creeping, one by one. Alone among the trees!
A swallow perched upon my head,
A robin on my thumb, -Enid Blyton
The thrushes sang in tune with me,
The bees began to hum
Inspired by the healing beauty of nature, the magical quality of the elemental world, and childlike wonder, my felt creations are sculpted from soft wool using both wet and needle felting techniques. Fairies, gnomes, forest folk, creatures large and small may find their way into your heart in this wee-wooley world. Felted landscapes "playscapes" provide the perfect environment and will invite many hours of imaginative play for young and old alike! What I love most about this craft is how the form and personality of each animal, fairy, flower and tree arises out of a warm tuft of shapeless wool in a way that breathes life into each one, drawing forth a unique relationship with every creation.
